Travel through the Roseau Valley to view the majestic Trafalgar Waterfalls and nearby sulphur springs, surrounded by lush tropical forest. Then enjoy shore-based snorkeling at Champagne Reef, where warm volcanic bubbles rise from the seabed among colorful fish and coral. A unique above-and-below-water experience before returning to the ship.
Description
This 3.5 hour fun adventure will lead where very few have gone before – through Dominica’s forests and underwater treasures, and will introduce you to nature at its best.
View the majestic Trafalgar Waterfalls and sulphur springs and enjoy our picturesque landscapes, and the greenest rainforest stands in the Caribbean region. Then explore a local marine eco-system dotted with champagne bubbles.
Your experience will start with a short coach ride from the pier to the Roseau Valley and through lush greenery, for viewing of the majestic Trafalgar Waterfalls and sulphur springs. Enjoy our picturesque landscapes.
Next, you head off to the second part of your adventure – snorkeling. After the greeting/orientation you will begin your shore based snorkeling tour…. much like swimming in a glass of champagne and through a stream of bubbles that rises from a submerged volcanic vent in the sea floor. See juvenile and adult fish as well as colorful sponge and coral growths.
From here you return to the ship
